Laser cutting, with a new cutting technology, has been used more and more, it is using laser beam cutting, so it has a lot of characteristics, and other hot cutting methods are different, which, specifically, what do they include? The characteristics of laser cutting are as follows:
(1) the heat affected zone is small, so it is not easy to cause local deformation.
(2) no force will be exerted on the workpiece, the workpiece will not be mechanically deformed, and there will be no wear to the cutter.
(3) no need to consider the hardness of the cutting material.
(4) the laser beam can be controlled and can be combined with the equipment, so it is very convenient to realize the automation of the operation process.
(5) the whole panel can be discharged, thus saving certain materials and avoiding waste.
But in the process of cutting, sometimes there is a deviation of the focus position. What are the specific reasons? The answer is:
Workpiece geometric error: if the workpiece surface is not very smooth, the thermal effect in the cutting process will cause the workpiece to be distorted, resulting in geometric errors.
The error produced by the clamping device of the workpiece: the general workpiece is placed on a needle like worktable. Because of some wear and burn, the needle bed becomes concave and uneven, making the workpiece clamping device error.
Errors caused by programming: due to the existence of certain errors in various curves, errors also arise in the position, causing errors in the system or programming.

Oxygen - combustible cutting: it is mainly used for low carbon steel cutting, high heat impact and slow cutting speed, so it is not suitable for cutting materials below 6mm.
Plasma cutting: its speed is faster than oxygen - combustibles, but the cutting quality is not so good, the cutting edge is easy to appear waves, so it is suitable for cutting thick steel plates, or aluminum alloys with high reflectivity of the beam.
Die punching: if you need a lot of production, you can use the die, but the disadvantage is that the adaptability of the change is poor. If you need to design a new mold, it takes a long time, so it is not suitable for medium and small scale production.
Electromachining: the two kinds of EDM and electrochemical machining are suitable for hard materials, but the cutting speed is much slower than that of laser cutting.
Water cutting: it can be used for cutting many kinds of metal materials, but the disadvantage is that the cost is higher than that of laser cutting.
