Laser cutting speed is one of the main factors affecting cutting quality. The size of laser power will also affect the cutting speed of the laser. In the case of laser power, there is the best range of cutting speed, high speed or too slow will affect the surface roughness of the material. Therefore, laser cutting in Jining concludes that the speed will vary with the following factors: beam power, beam mode, spot size, material density, energy and material thickness needed to start gasification.
Practice shows that the cutting speed is too high, the slag is not clear, the cutting speed is too low, the material is overburnt, the incision width and the material heat affected zone are too large.
When the cutting speed is too fast, the time of the laser beam and the material contact with each other is shorter, so the area of the effective light spot on the workpiece surface will be smaller and the width of the incision will become smaller. And when the beam beam is near the cutting edge, the speed of the laser beam is too fast to keep up the speed of the cutting edge melting, then the cut table. The roughness of the surface will be greatly reduced, and slag will appear at the bottom of the incision.
The cutting speed is too low, the time of the interaction between the material and the laser increases, the area of the effective light spot becomes larger, and the slit becomes larger. At this point, the melting rate is normal but the cutting speed is not up, which leads to the occurrence of the over melting reaction, which will make an irregular and too wide incision.
The higher the laser mode, the greater the radius of the spot, and the laser beam pattern determines the quality of the laser beam. It has a great influence on the cutting ability, the size of the slit and the roughness of the laser. Under the same conditions, the smaller the focus spot diameter is, the larger the power density, so the cut is very narrow and the cutting quality is better. In general, when cutting metal materials with constant power laser, low-carbon steel is slightly easier to cut than stainless steel. Galvanized steel and aluminum plates are harder to cut than mild steel and stainless steel because they reflect the laser.
Therefore, in the actual production process, we must judge the speed of cutting by observing the state of cutting sparks on the spot. If the cutting speed is appropriate, the laser beam will spread evenly up and down, and if the beam is inclined to one side, it will prove that the cutting speed is too fast; if the beam is not diffused and gathered together, the speed is too slow. These two phenomena need to adjust the speed of laser cutting machine in time to ensure the quality of finished products.
