The so-called sheet metal processing, in fact, refers to a different metal material used in a processing method, so that it meets the use requirements. In the process of sheet metal processing, a certain force is applied to the metal material such as thin plate, thin wall section and thin wall tube, so that it can be plastic deformation or cut, so as to become the part with the expected shape and performance.
To be specific, the parts made by sheet metal processing technology have such characteristics: large size, small rigidity and complex shape. At present, the main parts of sheet metal processing can be divided into three types: the first is the parts with aerodynamic shape, including the skin of the aircraft fuselage, the wing, the tail and the inlet, the missile body, the skin of the rudder, the combustion chamber and the nozzle of the rocket engine.
The second kind of sheet metal processing part mainly refers to some skeleton parts, such as longitudinal, transverse and oblique components, such as beams, stringer, frame, rib and so on. The third refers to a number of inner parts, such as fuel, manipulation, communication systems, and all kinds of sheet metal parts in life service facilities, such as oil tanks, various ducts, stents, seats and so on. These different parts in the process of making the processing methods are also different.
In fact, at present, when the sheet metal parts are processed, it will not only apply to all kinds of cold stamping methods in mechanical manufacturing, but also some other forming methods. For example, the rubber hydroforming is mainly meant to fill a rubber tire with a high pressure liquid in the box, so that it can expand and promote the formation of the parts according to the shape of the mold.
Another kind of molding process is called bending forming. When this process is used to process the sheet metal parts, the main material is to stretch the material in the length direction to the yield limit, and then keep the tension and make the material bend according to the surface of the drawing die. This process can improve the accuracy of parts forming.
