The advantage of adopting the adjusting air valve to control the air volume method is that the initial investment is few and the control is simple. It is a method that has been used in industrial production. But the drawback is that when adjusting the air valve to control the air volume, the running efficiency of the centrifugal fan equipment is significantly reduced, the power loss is large, and the energy saving effect is not obvious.
The principle of energy saving by controlling the speed of the centrifugal fan to adjust the speed of the motor is based on the relationship between the air volume, pressure, speed and torque, and the air volume is proportional to the speed, and the power of the motor shaft is proportional to the cube of the speed. When the ventilation system only needs half of the air volume, the motor speed can be reduced by 50%, when the output power of the motor is only 12.5%. By controlling the speed and controlling the air volume, the power loss is minimized and the energy saving effect is considerable.
The energy saving effect of the speed control air volume is very good. There are many ways of motor AC speed regulation, such as pole changing speed regulation, stator voltage speed regulation, frequency conversion speed regulation and so on. With the development and popularization of frequency conversion technology, the inverter product has high performance, and the energy saving of centrifugal fan is gradually replaced by the frequency converter to realize the control of the wind valve gradually.
